This treasure hunt takes you back to the beginning of the new era of modern shopping (as seen in the 1700s, of course). From the Palais Royal and its exuberant history to covered galleries, ancestors of the modern malls, you’ll discover a less known side of Paris.

While it’s an exciting hunt for any day of the year, it has a particular flavor on a rainy day, as it will keep you (mostly) dry and remind you of the reason all of these arcades and galleries were imagined back in the day. Plus, the window displays you’ll encounter on your way – from toy stores to vintage fashion – will please kids and grown ups alike.
